I see much of life through glass...or as it would appear through glass. Not the glass of a window, but rather through the lens of a camera. This is my photo-a-day blog for 2009.

My new-to-me film SLR. It's an Asahi Pentax K-1000. According to Wikipedia, around 1983 the camera sold for $220 (it has the 50mm f/2 lens). I'm kind of excited about playing with it. The lens is cool looking and the whole camera seems to be in good condition. And the thing you send in to register it is in Colorado. Lots of good stuff in CO. :D
You still have it? Do you ever get it out and shoot with it for shits and giggles?
I shot a whole roll of film in about 5 minutes today while sitting in the parking lot of Wal Mart. I was trying all sorts of different settings.
My problem is that it's fully manual and I'm used to shooting in aperture priority. But the guy at the camera store showed me that there is an exposure needle in the viewfinder thing...I just need a new battery to make it work. :D

Awesome. I have that camera. It got me through two years of photo classes. That is such a classic and outstanding camera.
